Looking for Margaritaville

Aww man, Jimmy Buffet died at the beginning of the month. I hope he's enjoying a Cheeseburger in Paradise right about now. And hopefully at a Cheeseburger in Paradise, as the last of those restaurants closed in 2020.

It just so happened that I was in Manhattan the day he passed and decided to mosey down to the Times Square Margaritaville to pay my respects.

But it turns out that loads of people were there for the very same reason and I couldn't get near the bar, so no overpriced Landshark as a toast for me.

Well, I didn't leave empty handed. I didn't find Bort, but this was close enough.

Speaking of things I found, I went to the flea market again and found some good treasures!

A disco ball!

A genuine ballot box! (That may or may not have been tampered with)

A novelty license plate!

Buttons! I was hyped to get that Bennigan's one, but as soon as I took that pictured I found a fraternity pin.

I don't know how an APD button ended up in this guy's hands. Apparently, the buttons came from an estate sale. In any case, I liberated it and gave it a shine and now it looks as good as new.

But the winner was this picture of Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake signed to the NYPD Auto Crime division.

It had big Tom Landry Hat energy.

I saw it sitting in a box and it was only two bucks. What a steal!

That's it for September, folks. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go wake up Green Day.
